Senior Manager, Global Energy Markets, Deloitte & Touche

Weston is a senior manager in Deloitte & Touche LLP's Global Energy Markets practice with eleven years experience in the energy industry. His primary focus is on providing advisory services in the renewable and alternative energy industry as well as the climate change and carbon emissions markets. His experience spans the industry including work with biofuels project developers and growth companies, merchant and regulated utilities, and financial entities pursuing investment and acquistions in the biofuels industry. His efforts in these areas integrate his knowledge of business strategy, finance, risk management, and environmental and industry drivers including legislative, regulatory, and voluntary programs.

Weston's focus on renewable energy is supported by his background in risk management and advisory consulting for clients throughout the energy industry. He is also a member of Deloitte's global Climate Change and Alternative Energy initiatives. Weston has worked with clients in North America, Europe, and Asia to address strategic, operational, and financial risks including work in the areas of strategy; infrastructure, technology, and processes; change management; market and credit risk; and physical commodity and derivative transacting. His work has also included evaluation and implementation of Energy Transacting and Risk Management systems.

Prior to joining Deloitte & Touche, Weston worked as a consultant in the energy practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers where he focused on business process analysis and systems in the utility and oil and gas industries. This experience included system implementation and support, and functional and technical training for large customer utilities, energy trading organizations, and E&P companies.
